Far from my usual CD reviews! However, this one needs to be in the public eye!

A World dominated by Male Vocal Groups, is now being penetrated. And! You guys take heed!! STREETHEART is here! From the sounds on this CD, they are HERE to stay!!

This CD knocked me back!! There is honestly one FANTASTIC track followed by another from beginning to end. These Gals can HARMONIZE!!!!!! No matter which one of these ladies takes the lead, the background vocals lose not one iota. A pure joy to listen to. I have played this CD at least 4 times through. Each time more enjoyable than the last!

All these YOUNG LADIES, call the Garden State, New Jersey their home. New Jersey/New York the HEART of Acappella vocal group harmony. The members of this group are San D Mann – 2nd soprano, Lisa Maciolek – 1st soprano, Betty Semel – 1st alto, Vicki Warnock – 2nd alto & Patsy DiBella – controalto. What they do to these nineteen (19) Classic 50’s & 60’s songs will surprise and thrill you. From the TOE CURLING Ballads to The TOE TAPPING rockers, none will disappoint you. You are definitely in for a treat!!!!

2. Why Do Lovers Break Each Others Heart – San D on lead on this moving ROCKER!

3. When We Get Married – Lisa takes the lead on this Super Ballad!

4. Tonight’s The Night – Patsy taking the helm on this one! Shirelles! Listen Close!! Competition here.

5. Could This Be Magic – Vicki croons Richard Blandon’s lead on this Dubs Classic!

6. My Juanito – Betty here again! Name change on the Crests “My Juanita”. They KILL IT!!!!

7. Sincerely – Vicki leads the girls on this Moonglows standard!

8. Come Go With Me – Del Vikings Classic Rocker, lead here by Patsy! Gotta dance to this one!

9. Share – All I can say is WOW!! What the girls and Lisa on lead do for this Frankie Lymon & Teenagers song is truly, truly BEAUTIFUL!

10. I Wanna Rendezvous With You – Betty Rockin’ with the girls on this Desires song.

11. Eddie, My Love – All the the Girls in Harmony on the Teen Queens hit!

12. Havin’ A Party – Sam Cooke’s song done excellently by Streetheart. Betty as Sam!!

13. Diamonds & Pearls – Great rendition by the ladies here. Vicki leads on this Paradons Great!

14. I Wonder Why – San D doing Dion!! Rockin’ hit from ’58 by Dion & Belmonts.

15. Let It Please Be You – A Thrilling/Chilling job on this Hull release by the Desires! Lisa’s voice will set your HEART pounding ballad.

16. Rainy Day Bells – OOPs a 70’s song! Oh well! Streetheart tears this one up. Globetrotters song from ’70. Patsy and the ladies sound Great here too!

17. Tweedlee Dee – LaVern Baker’s Hit Rocker! Rockin’ with Vicki on lead!

18. He’s Gone – Arlene Smith & The Chantels listen to Streetheart!! Kudos to San D and the rest of Streetheart. Sounding GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

19. No No No – Ending this CD with the Chanters release on Deluxe. Betty doing the lead on this final rocking track!

Those are the tracks on this Super, Super Acappella CD. If you like the sound of the human voice in harmony, then STREETHEART is definitely one CD that belongs in your library!
