Twenty-Two (22) tracks of Embers recordings. I can’t verify all the Embers groups within this CD are related, but we do have some fantastic recordings. From 1953 to 1961, we are treated here to some fine, fine vocal group endeavors. Willis Sanders fronting the Embers on the majority of the recordings. From Paradise Hill on Ember from ’53 to a couple of his solo releases (with un-named back up) in ’61. Four tracks with Jeff Milner & an Embers group. Related? I have no idea. Maybe one of you readers of this review can verify yes or no.

In any event a thoroughly enjoyable hour of sounds.

2. Please Mr. Sun - Embers ’60 Dot (Sensational job on this Ballad recorded by EVERYONE!) play

3. Lovable You - Willis Sanders & Embers ’58 Unart (released as Willis Sanders & Fabulous Embers ’58 Millionaire $200) (True, true Belly RUBBER here! Beautiful Ballad!)

4. Hungry For Your Love - Embers ’59 Coral (Fair Rocker. Good Bass!)

5. Takin’ A Chance On You - Willis Sanders & Embers ’57 Juno $700, ’57 Jvpiter $300 (Good SWING!!) play

6. Your Souvenier - flipside of #5 (Another super ballad by Willis & the group)

7. Sweet Lips - Embers ’54 Columbia (Swing again in a Pop Fashion. Sounds like a trio)

8. Let Me Know, Let Me Know, Let Me Know - Jeff Milner & Embers ’59 Dale (Very nice ballad!)

9. I Want To Dance - Willis Sanders & Embers ’58 Juno $2000 (Doin’ the Stroll or City Walk to this one!) play

10. Sound Of Love - flipside of #1 (Swing a little to this Bass lead tune)

11. My Dearest Darling - flipside of #2 (MAMBO!!!!!!!)

12. Couldn’t Wait Any Longer - Embers ’60 Dot (Got a Jitterbug here!)

13. (There Is) No Greater Love - flipside of #8 (Nother goooood ballad!)

14. Summertime - Willis Sanders & Duprees ’61 Regatta (Rockin’ this Classic)

15. Time Out For Tears - flipside of #4 (Has to be the BEST BALLAD on the CD. A Real Killer!)

16. Wait For Me - flipside of #12 (Oops! May be a tie here! Back to back Temp Risers!)

17. I’m Movin’ In - flipside of #14 (Rockin’ on this side too!)

18. Then (I’ll Stop Loving You) - Jeff Milner & Embers ’59 Dale (SOB! Slide Over Baby!)

19. My Vow To You - flipside of #18 (Stay Close, Baby!)

20. Honey Bun - flipside of #3 (Cha Cha to this one!)

21. There’ll Be No One Else But You - flipside of #7 (It’s that trio again! Ballad)

22. I’ll Be With You - flipside of #9 (Three way tie maybe? Another Killer Ballad ends this CD!)
