The CD title indicates these tracks are the Camelots. Well the majority of them are along with their alias as the Harps. However, there are recordings by other Camelot groups that I do not think are related, as well as recordings by Cupids groups. I have found no relationship between the Camelots of Brooklyn and any Cupids groups.

What we do have are thirty-two tracks of super fine New York City Vocal Group Harmony. Many of these in acappella as they were sung originally on the corners of Flatbush Avenue!! A fine assortment of tempos from the early 60’s.

Let’s sit back and enjoy well over an hour DOO WOP!!

1. Dance Girl – Camelots ’64 Times Square (Acappella mid tempo) play

2. Don’t Leave Me Baby – ’63 Aanko/Crimson/Cameo (Rockin’ Acappella)

3. Brenda – Cupids ’63 KC/Aanko (Fantastic Ballad!!!!!!!) play

4. Love Sickness – Camelots unreleased (Rock & Roll)

5. Chain Of Broken Hearts – Camelots ’65 Relic (Good Uptempo Acappella)

6. Let’s Rock – Cupids ’64 Times Square (Another Good {of course} Rocker!)

7. Moments Of Love – Camelots unreleased (Latin number. Cha Cha Cha)

8. Pocahontas – Camelots unreleased Demo (Acappella Mid Tempo)

9. Music To My Ears – Camelots ’61 unreleased (Killer Ballad. Would’ve been a hit!)

10. True Love, True Love – Cupids ’62 UWR (The Drifters’ hit)

11. Daddy’s Going Away Again – Harps ’64 Laurie (aka The Camelots. The final song in the “Thousand Miles Away” saga started by the Heartbeats way back in ’56)

12. No One Can Take Your Place – Camelots unreleased (the Groovin’!)

13. Time – Camelots unreleased (Very Pretty Ballad)

14. Sunday Kind Of Love – Camelots ’63 Aanko (Another uptempo version) play

15. Strange Love – Camelots ’61 Demo (Acappella with a latin tinge)

16. Your Way – Camelots ’63 Aanko/’67 Dream (Heartbeats song done very, very well)

17. I Wonder – flipside of #16 on Dream (Uptempo acappella)

18. Pretty Baby – Camelots ’64 Times Square (Foot Stomper!)

19. Little Girl Of Mine – Cupids ’63 Music Note (Herbie Cox be proud of the lads)

20. Darling How Long – Camelots unreleased Demo (They liked them Heartbeats!)

21. Lorraine – flipside of #19 (Good version of the Bonnevilles’ ’59 release)

22. Lulu – Camelots (another group) ’61 Nix (This uptempo not quite a New York sound!)

23. My Imagination – Camelots ’63 Aanko (Uptempo version of Jordan & The Fascinations recording)

24. For You – Cupids ’63 KC/Aanko (Hmmmm! Connie Questral & Decoys also recorded this for Aanko in ’63. Uptempo!)

25. Never Been In Love Before – flipside of #22 (Cha Cha here)

26. Peace Of Mind – Camelots unreleased Demo (Great acappella version of Pookie's hit)

27. Marie – flipside of #11 (Good uptempo)

28. Pocahontas – Camelots ’64 Ember (The released version. Good Uptempo)

29. Let’s Twist – flipside of #10 (Of course it is a TWIST!)

30. My Mother’s Eyes – Camelots unreleased Demo (Very, very good rendition of this Super Classic)

31. Searchin’ For My Baby – flipside of #28 (Got ya’s Rockin’ & Rollin’ here)

32. Farewell To Love – Camelots unreleased Demo (End with another good acappella mid tempo)

Brand new for 2002. Thirty-two tracks of Street Corner Harmony at it’s best.

Look for this gem at your favorite Oldies Outlet.
